Pembertons Books - Hay on Wye

Pembertons is unique in Hay - the only bookshop selling the best of modern authors. During the annual Hay Festival of Literature, Pembertons runs the official on-site Festival Book Tent holding the stock for each and every event and also hosts the booksignings of all authors promoting their most recent publications and previous works.  Many hard-to-find new and recent publications by local, national and international writers (for both adults and children) can be found or ordered through Pembertons.

HAY ARTS

Hay Arts is a voluntary organisation that arose from a Millennium Grant in 2000. The grant was used to publish a book ‘Nobody had heard of Hay’ which contained reminiscences of life-long residents of Hay and a well-researched history. The proceeds of the book (which is for sale at Pemberton’s Bookshop) have been used to assist art projects in Hay, and we are grateful to them for helping us to launch the Short Story competition.
