Welcome to the second Hay-on-Wye Short Story Contest - an exciting writing competition that gives everyone the chance to be discovered and celebrated by the literary elite!

The winner for 2009 is... Linda Leatherbarrow with her story entitled 'The Complete Companion' which can be found on the Hay Festival website.  The award will be presented by Barbara Erskine on the 5th of December as part of the Hay Festival Winter Weekend.  Again, we have to thank Peter Florence, Director of the Festival, for giving us a slot in the programme.  For information on how to attend this event, please click here.
